Design Control

Ensuring Design Compliance in Construction Projects
Design control ensures that the building is constructed in accordance with the approved plans and the applicable standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
The purpose of design control is to verify the completeness of the documentation and its compliance with applicable legislation and standards. Although it was formerly a legal requirement, it is no longer mandatory. However, it remains critically important for investors to have their designs reviewed by independent experts in order to reduce the risks associated with construction.

How Does Design Control Work?

  • Plan review – verifying the consistency and compliance of the designs
  • Checking design amendments – ensuring the accuracy of subsequent changes
  • Construction drawing review – verifying the adequacy of detailed execution drawings
  • Material quality specifications – checking the specifications of materials to be used
  • Structural compliance – confirming that static and structural safety requirements are met
As design controllers, we verify the completeness of the plans and their compliance with legislation. Although our team consists of engineers with considerable design experience and qualifications, we do not design or calculate on behalf of the designer. Instead, we request the designer to address any errors or omissions found and, if necessary, to verify their calculations. The responsibility for the design remains with the designer.
