SPAR SM Szentendre

The roof structure of the SPAR leasehold building in the shopping centre was damaged and deformed after a fire in 2020, leading to the destruction of the building’s shell. To solve the problem, the Municipality of Szentendre developed a new coherent plan for the north-western side of the HÉV terminus in 2022. This plan covered a complex of plots owned by the municipality. As part of this initiative, a public tender was launched for the development of these sites. SPAR Hungary Trading Ltd. submitted a tender, which was approved by the Szentendre City Council. The main elements of the tender are as follows: A retail store will be built on a plot of land (HRSZ: 402/34) to be developed exclusively for SPAR, comprising: -A SPAR store with a sales area of approximately 1200 m² with service premises on the same level; -A parking level; -An escalator with lift and stairs to ensure barrier-free access. Extension of the existing park-and-ride (P+R) system. Provision of necessary urban connections.
