Design Control

There is no such thing as a flawless, complete plan. The role of the design controler is to ensure that the design is both complete and compliant with relevant rules and regulations. While design control used to be a legal requirement, it no longer is. However, it remains in the investor’s best interest to have the completed design documentation reviewed by an independent party.

As design controlers, we verify the completeness of the plans and their compliance with legislation. Although our team are engineers with considerable design experience and qualifications, we do not design or calculate for the designer. Instead, we request the designer to address any errors or omissions found and, if necessary, to verify their calculations.

The responsibility for the design remains with the designer, even after the corrected and completed documentation has been submitted.
